20 month Photo shoot by Mommy!

Mommy and little man just had to have a little photo session outside today after Grammie bought him an ADORABLE little outfit! He is in LOVE with buses right now so when we seen this outfit we about died and it was the only one left! Oh yes fate for my little man and he loved it so much we put it on him in the store and he wore it almost the entire time (until it was time to try something else on). I am so in love with this outfit and with these pictures we took today (of course the quality is changed for blogging).  And I gave a little preview of some editing on the very last photo. Enjoy!

Love my little man & his new hat!

So I seen this adorable hat on Etsy and just had to buy it! When it came in the mail my husband thought it was way to feminine and said "save it for our daughter" hahaha BUT then I took these totally handsome pictures of our little man and now he LOVES the hat!! Yay

A sweet little "weekend".

What a fun little exciting weekend we had! Our weekend is mid week which some people would not like but we LOVE that our weekend is not everyone else's because it's never crowded where we go, there's never traffic when we travel and we are just simply grateful to have days back to back together. This weekend we went to Maine (where the in-laws are) to spend some quality time, practice shooting (yeah I'll get to that in a minute), and to play in the water. Now back to the shooting..I recently told my husband that if we're going to have guns in the house that I want to feel more confident with them since I have a fear of them (after a high school shooting that left anyone who attended traumatized). I didn't want to be anywhere near a gun and now after having our little man I am in mom mode and want to protect him as much as possible. Now don't get me wrong we live in a great neighborhood but we still live in this crazy world! So we practiced and I am proud to say I shot 10 out of 10 from 10 feet and then 8 out of 10 from 15 feet this mommy is pretty proud (and so was my Deputy husband). Okay what else we attempted to play in the water that was pretty cold so we kind of just dabbled in it a little bit. Our little man and his cousin got to go on a few boat rides together with their daddies. We had a yummy dinner with the fam, hubby and his dad (grampy) had some bonding time and little man got to play with his cousin who is 10 days older than he is so that is just simply adorable to watch. Then guess what? We drove home from Maine of course stopped and got an iced coffee on the way and rocked out the whole way home which is the norm and here's the best part we came home to...........baby bunnies in one of our plant holders right in front of the house!! Oh mylanta cutest little things ever all cuddled up. So that's our weekend wrapped up.

Bye bye binky!

My sweet little baby boy/toddler has always liked his binky BUT only for sleeping so napping and bed times was the only time he used it. There were a few sicky days too that he would go to his room and see his binky and get it we always knew if he woke up in the morning and still had it in his mouth and kept it in his mouth he wasn't feeling very well. So all in all it was a clear sign of he's tired, teething, or not feeling well.. And if there were times during the day that we would try to give to him to calm him down he would just throw it so we always thought of that as an advantage that we wouldn't have to cut down the day time binky and the night time binky. We are proud to say it truly was an advantage!! Night one of "no binky" was torture for all of us, my baby boy was so sad and confused, I'm assuming he thought it had just fell somewhere and didn't know why mommy didn't get it for him.. He cried for 2 hours straight and I felt awful and kept texting my mommy friends for support (thank you Christina & Desirae). But I was ecstatic that it wasn't as much crying as the 1st night we took away his last night night bottle he cried the entire night (literally)! Everyone always tells "they will eventually fall asleep" I'd like to see them come here with my son who just didn't sleep that 1st night he cried from 7pm until 5am when mommy finally decided to get up and start the day. But back on a fantastic note last night was night 2 of "no binky" and my little boy didn't cry one bit...YAY YIPPPEEE YAY...bye bye binky! Wow he is really growing up!

Our home!

Mama's castle that I love and acknowledge the work we have ahead of us..We always said we wanted a fix-it-upper that we could really make our own and when this house is done it will pretty much be entirely redone..It is an old house that just like a human seems even older if not well taken care of.. So due to lack of upkeep our house built in the 50's (which being in New England is pretty new) looks as if it is one of the houses built in the 1800's. We moved in and first started with the paint and when you see the before pictures you will see why! We wanted to COVER what was there and make it fit us. After 23 cans of paint (everything required at least 2-4 coats) we are worn out and over the moon about our team work, hard work and our little home! Next year we will start with big renovations like the bathrooms, the kitchen, getting an air conditioner etc etc... Here are some pics, hope you enjoy!
